hi,
i had a doberman girl that was a yr old when i got my cat who was a kitten. the dog was always sweet and gentle w/ the kitten i think because i had always told her to be gentle and easy and she finally understood what that meant. my dog just recently passed :( and we got a rescue doberman puppy 10 month old male.
the cat does not like him and he wants to chase her. i have tried leave it and even acting like its not a big deal which does seem to work until the cat wants to leave where she is and then once she moves he wants to chase her. i can't seem to make him really listen to me when i say leave it or sit or stay even though he does know these commands. he just takes off and he's so strong and clumsy it's hard to control him. what can i do to really make him listen? it's only been 1 week and i know that it will take time but, i feel like i need to learn a technique that will really work.
thanks
